Our Wagyu Rump 2-Pack takes the workhorse steak of the Aussie kitchen and elevates it with Japanese bloodline Wagyu raised on our family farm. The result? A rump steak with a marble score of MB 8–9 — the rich intramuscular fat that melts during cooking, basting the meat from the inside out and delivering buttery, deeply beefy flavour with every bite.

Rump is the steak with the most beef flavour for your money, and the Wagyu version takes that up a serious notch without the price tag of an eye fillet. Two steaks in the pack — perfect for a Wagyu dinner for two, or for a family of four served sliced across the grain.

How to cook it:

Wagyu rump loves a hot, fast cook. Bring the steaks to room temperature, season simply with sea salt — Wagyu doesn't need much, the fat is the seasoning. Sear in a hot, dry pan for 3–4 minutes each side for medium-rare. No oil needed.Rest for 5 minutes before slicing.

Always slice across the grain to maximise tenderness. Serve simply — a flake of sea salt, a grind of pepper, maybe a knob of butter. Don't drown it in sauce; let the Wagyu do the talking.
