Gourmet Sausages, Wagyu Patties and Rissoles: A BBQ Season Guide to Farmer Ma's Farmhouse Kitchen

Short answer: Farmer Ma's Farmhouse Kitchen is our own range of sausages, patties, rissoles and meatloaf, made from beef raised on our family farm at Calvert. Packs start at $19, with no fillers in our recipes, and they're perfect for BBQ season. You can buy them online or from our Beef Bus at the markets across South East Queensland.

Who is Farmer Ma?

Farmer Ma's Farmhouse Kitchen is the name we give our value-added range: the old-fashioned recipes we've always loved, made the honest way. We do all the prep ourselves at our processor's licensed facility, often two or three days of it for a single sausage run, and we label every pack by hand.

The beef in our sausages, patties, rissoles and meatloaf comes from cattle we raise ourselves. Nothing goes to waste, and every pack tells you exactly where it came from.

Sausages for every BBQ

Gourmet Sausages

Our classic no-filler sausage with the flavours turned up. Flavours rotate, so ask us at the Beef Bus what's in the batch this week.

Pure Wagyu Sausages

Made with Wagyu raised on our farm, with real ingredients instead of cheap fillers or flavour powders. These are the ones to bring out when you've got people over.

How to cook sausages properly

Steady, medium heat is the secret. Too hot and the outside burns before the middle is cooked. Turn them regularly until they're golden and cooked through.

Patties for proper burgers

Our Real Beef Patties are a generous 125 g each, not the thin supermarket kind that disappear in the bun. Our Pure Wagyu Patties are the ones that ruin other burgers for you, because Wagyu fat runs through the meat and bastes it as it cooks.

Tip: cook on a hot grill or pan and don't press them down, or you'll squeeze out all the juice.

Rissoles and meatloaf: the weeknight savers

Our Beef Rissoles are hand-shaped from our own mince, just like Nan used to make. They go straight into the pan, with no crumbing and no fuss, and they're ready in about 15 minutes.

Shallow Well Beef homestyle beef rissoles with mash and broccolini

Our Homestyle Beef Meatloaf is made with our beef, red onion, carrot, bacon, garlic, fresh herbs, baby spinach and cheese. Thaw it, bake it, and dinner looks after itself.
